(NIAF) is a nonprofit foundation at the national level with headquarters in Washington, DC, is the largest and most faithful representative of the more than 20 million citizens of Italian-Americans living in the United States. The two most important goals that the NIAF aims are to ensure that Italian-Americans continue to keep alive and present the rich heritage of its values \u200b\u200band cultural traditions, and to make sure that the whole community does not forget ever the great contribution that the Italians have made to history and progress of the United States. To this end, the Foundation works closely with the U.S. Congress and the White House on all major issues concerning Italian-Americans. To celebrate the great heritage that we share and all the goals achieved so far, every year in October, the NIAF organized in Washington, DC, a note gala evening which usually involved the President of the United States, important members of the political, culture and finance, distinguished Italian-Americans, and about 3,000 people from the United States and Italy. On this occasion, the Foundation gives awards to eminent personalities in Italian and Italian-Americans who have distinguished themselves in their professional and civic role. In the past, the NIAF has honored personalities such as Antonin Scalia, an Italian-American chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, Lee Iacocca, Liza Minnelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli and Sophia Loren.

For this reason it was presented to the President and Founder of Suppers Mariani ONLUS hp. dr. Antonio Randino, the prestigious award in the presence of friends and associates, however, in recent years has made in favor of and support for children and adolescents in difficulty. Dr. John B. Salamone was accompanied by his wife and son, the Adviser NIAF dr. John P. Rosa and his wife and other members of the NIAF that are held at lunch with all the young guests of the community in a climate of total familiarity.
